Data Collection and Usage

At Elqo, we take your privacy seriously. Elqo is operated by ELQO PTY LTD (ACN 694 675 459), a company registered under the Corporations Act 2001 and taken to be registered in New South Wales. We collect and process only the data necessary to provide voice coaching services and operate the app, including:

Consent To Recording

You choose when to record. Starting a session is your consent for us to capture, upload, transcribe, and analyze audio to generate feedback. You can stop recording at any time.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Voice recordings are processed in real time. Uploaded audio or video files may be stored temporarily in secure storage to complete processing and enable replay, then deleted automatically within about 60 minutes. We store transcripts and performance metrics to provide coaching and track progress. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Data Retention

We keep transcripts, performance metrics, and account data while your account is active. Audio and video files are deleted automatically within about 60 minutes of analysis, or sooner if you delete the recording file or delete your account. If you delete your account or ask us to delete items, we remove remaining data from our systems and instruct our providers to do the same, subject to backup and legal limits. Analytics and billing records are retained according to provider policies and legal requirements.

3rd Party Processing

To operate the service, we use third-party providers for authentication and hosting (Supabase), speech transcription and analysis (Soniox, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Azure), analytics and session replay (Mixpanel), payments (Stripe), and email delivery/marketing (Resend, Mailchimp). These providers process data on our behalf and may retain limited logs for security and operations. Some providers may process data in Australia and overseas, including the United States, the European Union, and Singapore. We require them to protect your information and use it only to deliver services to us.

Notifiable Data Breaches

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.
